I don’t offer direct billing at this time. However, I provide detailed receipts after each session that you can submit to your insurance or benefits provider for reimbursement.

Every insurance plan is different, so it’s best to check directly with your provider to see what’s included. Most plans that cover mental health services will reimburse for sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). You can ask your insurance provider:
“Do you cover sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist?”
“What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?”
“Is there a maximum amount or number of sessions per year?”

Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming and there are so many to choose from, and finding the right fit is key to making therapy effective and comfortable. Here are a few tips to help guide your search:
Clarify your goals. What are you hoping to work on in therapy, and what outcomes would feel meaningful to you? Look for someone whose areas of focus align with your goals.
Consider comfort and connection. Sometimes we feel more at ease with someone who shares certain identities or lived experiences (e.g., gender, age, culture). It’s okay to take these preferences into account.
Decide between in-person and virtual. Think about what setting works best for your lifestyle and comfort.
Be mindful of your budget. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and there are options at various price points — including student therapists or community programs if cost is a concern.
Reflect on past experiences. If you’ve been in therapy before, what worked well (or didn’t)? Use that insight when choosing someone new.
Trust your intuition. If a therapist’s profile resonates with you, reach out for a consultation. Many therapists offer a free 15-minute consultation call. This is your chance to get a feel for their style and see if it feels like a good fit. Don’t hesitate to “interview” a few before deciding, the right connection makes all the difference.

Sessions look a little different for everyone! Therapy is a personal journey, and I tailor the process to meet your needs and goals. Typically, I recommend meeting weekly for the first few sessions to complete the intake process, build a sense of flow, and start making progress together. After that, we can adjust frequency based on your comfort level and what feels most supportive.
